2013 Major Administrative Plans of Taipei City Department of Rapid Transit Systems

Vision Construct a high quality and efficient rapid transit system, allowing easy travel in Taipei.
Major Administrative Plans
(1)Continue implementing the following tasks:
A.Budget settlement and final acceptance of the Taipei City section of the Xinzhuang line from Dongmen Station to Guting Station, and the Xinyi line section from Dongmen Station to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station.
B.Budget settlement and final acceptance of New Taipei City section of the Xinzhuang line (excluding Xinzhuang Depot).
C.Civil works, trackwork, the heating, ventilation & air-conditioning (HVAC) systems of Xinzhuang Depot.
D.Stability tests, preliminary and final inspections, and preparations for operation of New Taipei City section of the Xinzhuang line, from Fu Jen University Station (excluded) to Huilong Station.
(2)Expedite construction of the Xinyi and Songshan lines:
A.Continue construction of the Xinyi line, including civil works, trackwork, HVAC systems, common ducts, system integration tests, system stability tests, preliminary and final inspections, and preparations for operation
B.Continue construction of the Songshan line, including civil works, trackwork, HVAC systems, common ducts, installation and tests of E&M system facilities.
(3)Expedite construction of the Circular line Phase I and the Tucheng extension to Dingpu, including civil works, trackwork, HVAC systems, and manufacture of E&M system facilities.
(4)Expedite construction of the Taichung Metropolitan MRT Wuri-Wenxin-Beitun Line, including implementation of civil works and E&M systems detailed design.
(5)Expedite construction of the Sanchong-Taipei section of the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Access MRT System: Continue implementing civil works, trackwork, HVAC systems.
(6)Continue Implementing civil works of the Taipei Children Amusement Park, construction management of the Taipei Performing Arts Center, and installation of the automatic fare collection system for the above-mentioned new constructions. Conduct commissioned construction of Taipei Heping Elementary School and basketball gymnasium.
(7) Expedite construction of the Wanda line Phase I and the Xinyi eastern extension:
A.Implement tendering of construction work and construction supervision, and tendering of E&M systems of the Wanda line.
B.Implement procurement of the additional E&M systems of the Xinyi eastern extension.
(8)Continue conducting feasibility study, planning reports, financial plan reports, and environmental impact assessment reports for the North-South line, Minsheng-Xizhi line, Ankeng line, Sanying line, Shezi/ Shilin/Beitou light rail lines, and north and south sections of the Circular line, in accordance with central government reviews.
(9)Continue implementing the following tasks: MRT land development projects; city-owned land renewal projects entrusted by the Taipei City Government; land development project of the Taipei Main Station Parcel C1 and the
eastern part of Parcel D1; investor selection for land development projects along the Circular line; urban rezoning for development projects along the Wanda line; technical consultation service support for the Taichung
Metropolitan MRT Wuri-Wenxin-Beitun Line Depot & Station Land Development Project; demolition and relocation of all above-ground objects belonging to the joint development project (T1) on the west side of Xinzhuang line’s
Daqiaotou Station; superficies acquisition and compensation process for the land used for stations, and compensation process for acquiring land for pier construction of the Circular line phase I.
(10)Gradually enhance the wide area network (WAN) rate of the district project offices and the efficiency of the integrated information system; promote electronic signatures for technical document; improve construction
quality and construction management efficiency; expand operation resource of the geographic information system (GIS) platform; continue promoting collection, management, and service of the MRT technology data; continue
promoting operation of knowledge management and learning organizations for use in MRT consulting services.
