The route section of Wanda line Phase II construction runs from the depot to Xinzhuang line Huilong Station, with a total length of 13.3km (underground/elevated), and consists of 13 stations (2 underground stations and 11 elevated stations).
Wanda line Phase II traverses Tucheng and Shulin and terminates in Xinzhuang District; furthermore, it interchanges with the Zhonghe-Xinlu Line at Huilong Station. The overall route follows a mountainous area and crosses the Dahan River. It subsequently follows the Datong Mountain Range with richly varying natural scenery along the route. The artistic planning concept of Wanda line Phase II is a continuation of Wanda line Phase I and is committed to connecting regional characteristics through MRT art echoing the overall humanistic context.
The entire Wanda line Phase II line employs the “Green.Rhythm” theme of Wanda line Phase I. Plants with local significance and stories were selected in accordance with regional texture and context to be utilized as floral imagery in each station and as elements of general public art to be implemented in the spirit of the entire line. Divided into units based on each administrative district (Tuchung, Shulin, and Xinzhuang) and in accordance with:
1.) Regional: species which are native to a local area or which are distributed in a wide range and form regional landscapes;
2.) Cultural: those which have historical and cultural significance and local symbolism;
3.) Regional Planning: tourism-oriented planting presentation in accordance with regional jurisdiction or urban landscape planning (Figure 1).
