2018 Major Administrative Plans of Taipei City Department of Rapid Transit Systems

1.Mission
   -Construct a world-class rapid transit system.

 2.Vision
    Construct a high-quality and efficient rapid transit system that facilitates easy travel in Taipei.
 
3.Major Administrative Plans
   (1)Continue conducting projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems, and    
       executing tender and design reviews of E&M systems for the Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line 
       Phase I and the Xinyi eastern extension; conducting the design integration and review for
       the common duct along the Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line Phase I and the Xinyi eastern
       extension.
   (2)Continue implementing projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems, and
       on-site installation and testing of E&M systems for the Circular line Phase I.
   (3)Continue conducting projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems, and
       executing equipment tests and additional equipment purchases of E&M systems for 
       Xinzhuang Depot on the Xinzhuang line; conducting the selection of technical services
       providers entrusted and implementing the detail design services of the mid-term improving
       project for the elevators and escalators in the entrances of the Initially-Built Network
       stations; conducting the construction management of the additional MRT entrance
       construction for Beitou Station  elevator installation for Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station, and
       escalator installation for Guting Station; conducting the construction supervision and
       management of all-access elevators installation for Daan and Xinyi Anhe stations on the Xinyi
       line.
   (4)Continue conducting basic design, preliminary construction surveying, and modifying of
       urban planning for MRT facilities on the Circular line North Section & South Section;
       conducting basic design and modifying of urban planning for MRT facilities on the Wanda-
       Zhonghe-Shulin line Phase II.
   (5)Continue conducting comprehensive planning for the Circular line North Section & South
       Section, revised financial planning for the Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line Phase II as well as
       follow-ups of central government reviews, and the environmental impact assessment for the
       Minsheng-Xizhi line; conducting feasibility studies for the Taipei Eastern North-South rail 
       system, and studies for the Shezi, Shilin, Beitou light rail transit network planning.
   (6)Continue implementing land acquisition for the Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line Phase I and
       Xinyi eastern extension; investor solicitation for the MRT land development projects
       including Taipei Main Station District Parcel C1 and the eastern part of Parcel D1, city-owned
       land renewal projects (commissioned work), property sales and rentals for municipal
       properties that are generated from MRT Join Development projects, and monitoring of the
       Taipei MRT Joint Development fund execution.
   (7)Continue conducting the building permit application reviews and patrol operations along 
       Taipei MRT system in compliance with the regulations of “Building Restriction along MRT
       Facilities” in order to ensure the safety of MRT facilities.
   (8)Continue conducting projects involving the civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems,
       integrated structure of MRT land development, and E&M systems on-site installation and 
       tests for the Taichung MRT Wuri-Wenxin-Beitun line.
   (9)Continue conducting the commissioned projects on the construction management of the
       installations of exterior walls and theater professional equipment for Taipei Performing Arts
       Center, Daan Elderly Service & Day Care Center, and Beitou Qiyang Elderly LOHAS Building.
   (10)Refine the quality management system following the organizational reform of DORTS; 
       strengthen inspections of construction quality planning of the contractors; promote
       management performance of material testing and verification as well as supplier quality
       assessments; implement the strategic map operation, and strengthen efficiency management
       of official document processing; passing down of the legacies of MRT professional
       experience and expanding of the information services for MRT construction.
