2024 Major Administrative Plans Department of Rapid Transit Systems, Taipei City Government

1,Vision 

Construct a high-quality and efficient rapid transit system that facilitates easy travel in Taipei. 

 

2.Key Results 

(1)Continue expanding the Taipei MRT network;  

Conduct projects under construction according to schedule and quality standards. 

(2)Promote urban renewal with the Joint-Development; 

Conduct full-scale constructions of the Taipei West Gateway C1/D1. 

 

3.Major Administrative Plans 

(1) Conduct projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems; design reviews,

equipment manufacturing and installation of E&M systems for the Wanda line Phase I. 

 (2)Conduct projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems; design reviews,

equipment manufacturing and installation of E&M systems for the Xinyi eastern extension. 

 (3)Conduct  projects  involving  land  acquisition for MRT  facilities,  civil  works,  tracks,  utilities

 and HVAC systems; design reviews of E&M systems for the Wanda line Phase Ⅱ. 

(4)Conduct projects involving the land appropriation and compensation related to the MRT

underground tunnel passing, civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems; design reviews of E&M systems for the Circular line north section and south section. 

(5)Conduct  projects  involving  land  acquisition  for  MRT  facilities,  detail  design  works,  and

construction works of the priority tender for the Circular line east section. 

 (6)Conduct plans of the Minsheng-Xizhi line Taipei City section; review the plan of light rail transit

network in the districts of Shezi, Shilin, and Beitou. 

 (7)Implement improvement projects for the elevators and escalators in the entrances/exits at the

stations for the Xinlu line and Ximen Metro Mall. 

(8)Conduct investor solicitation for MRT land development projects, construction supervision for

the  Taipei  Main  Station  District  Parcels  C1/D1  (Eastern  Part),  commissioned  urban renewal projects for two sites of city-owned land (No.623, 3 rd  subsection, Muzha section, etc.) and sale and lease administrations for all the public real estate acquired from MRT land development. 

 (9)Continue conducting reviews for building permit application, patrol work along Taipei MRT 

lines in compliance with the Regulations of Building Permit Bans and Restrictions alongside MRT Facilities,  and replacement  tasks  of  the  Rapid Transit Systems  in order  to  ensure  a smooth operation of the MRT systems and the safety of MRT facilities. 

 (10)Maintain quality management systems and administrate inspections on quality plans from

contractors;  utilize  data  analysis  to  promote  management  of  material  testing  and

verification  as  well  as  supplier  quality  assessments;  continue  developing  and  passing on MRT-related techniques and knowledge, and streamlining information services to support MRT construction and land development.
