2021 Major Administrative Plans Department of Rapid Transit Systems, Taipei City Government

Construct a world-class rapid transit system.


2.Vision

Construct a high-quality and efficient rapid transit system that facilitates easy travel in Taipei.


3.Major Administrative Plans

   (1) Continue conducting projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems, executing design reviews and equipment manufacturing of E&M systems, and MRT development area land acquisition for the Wanda line Phase I.

   (2) Continue conducting projects involving civil works, tracks, utilities and HVAC systems, executing design reviews and equipment manufacturing of E&M systems for the Xinyi eastern extension.


   (3) Conduct projects involving urban planning revisions for MRT facilities, land acquisition, civil engineering procurement, and conceptual design reviews of E&M systems for the Wanda line Phase Ⅱ.


   (4) Conduct projects involving land acquisition for MRT facilities, civil engineering procurement, and E&M systems tendering for the Circular line north section and south section.


   (5) Conduct projects involving comprehensive plans and environmental impact statements for central government reviews, as well as follow-ups on basic design, and the revision of urban planning for MRT facilities for the Circular line east section.


   (6) Review the comprehensive plans of the Minsheng-Xizhi line Taipei City section in line with the integration of the Xizhi-Donghu line and the Keelung MRT; review the plan of light rail transit network in the districts of Shezi, Shilin, and Beitou.


   (7) Implement mid-term improvement projects for the elevators and escalators in the entrances/exits at the stations that are in the confines of the initial network.


   (8) Conduct investor solicitation for MRT land development projects, land development for the Taipei Main Station District Parcels C1/D1, commissioned urban renewal projects for municipal-owned lands, and sale and lease administrations for properties obtained from MRT land development.


   (9) Continue conducting reviews for building permit application, patrol work along Taipei MRT lines in compliance with the Regulations of Building Permit Bans and Restrictions alongside MRT Facilities, and replacement tasks of the Rapid Transit Systems in order to ensure a smooth operation of the MRT systems and the safety of MRT facilities.


   (10) Maintain quality management systems and administrate inspections on quality plans from contractors; utilize data analysis to promote management of material testing and verification as well as supplier quality assessments; ensure implementation of the DORTS’s strategic map into administration; continue developing and passing on MRT-related techniques and knowledge, and streamlining information services to support MRT construction and land development.
