As the platform length of the Xiaobitan branch line only accommodates train with three cars, it would be impossible for passengers on the last three cars of the main line train to get on and off. Also, current facilities do not allow flexible adjustment to prevent opening the doors of the last three cars, leading to a risk of passengers falling onto the tracks. Considerations also need to be given to the layout of tracks between Qizhang Station and Xiaobitan Station. Given that part of the Xiaobitan branch line runs two ways on a single track (one-side platform) and trains need to enter the depot for maintenance, the Xiaobitan branch line still must maintain its current operational mode with a three-car train.
