For operational safety and to avoid impact on main route service, trains serving the overlap section of the Green line between Songshan Station and Taipower Building Station must be dispatched at Taipower Building Station using pocket tracks that are unavailable at Gongguan Station or Jingmei Station. If the Songshan-Taipower Building operational mode were extended to Gongguan Station or Jingmei Station, safety concerns would arise because trains would have to reverse and travel to Gongguan Station in the opposite direction. Original headways would increase accordingly, affecting current service on the Xindian line. Therefore, it is unsuitable to adopt this operational mode.
