The whole Taipei MRT network can be broken down into the following three parts: Completed MRT Routes: Completion of the initial network and substantial upgrading of service capacity. Approved MRT Routes: Applying for additional budgets and continuing the construction of approved MRT lines. Planned MRT Routes: Continuous planning and construction of an extended MRT network. Currently 152.3 km of MRT lines have been completed for commercial service, with an average of over two million passenger trips per day.
Continuous implementation of another 58.2 km approved MRT lines.
Continuous planning and implementation of the full 235 km network.
